I am a native and life-long Galvestonian. Now a Galveston Realtor selling property across the island as well as mainland Galveston County and southern Harris County, I am a former Galveston banker with commercial banking, professional and executive banking, retail banking, marketing, financial, and operational experience. I received my BBA from the University of Texas at Austin with a double major of real estate and finance, and I have been a licensed real estate broker for over twenty-two years. My professional designations and certifications were earned by taking classes that would help me better serve my clients. I am the first Galveston Realtor to receive the National Association of Realtors Resort and Second-Home certification, and I was the 68th Realtor in the country to receive such certification. Also, I have been recognized by the National Trust for Historic Preservation as a member of the Historic Real Estate Program. I am now serving a three year term on the Galveston Association of Realtors board of directors.
Interested in improving the economy by improving the quality of life for Galveston residents, I served as chair of the City of Galveston’s Visionaries in Preservation Committee. I am a past president of the Galveston Historical Foundation, and I have served in the past as president of the Galveston Alliance of Island Neighborhoods and on the city’s Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee.
Interested in supporting the University of Texas Medical Branch, the area’s largest employer, I currently serve on the School of Allied Health Advisory Council. I also served the Galveston Regional Capital Campaign Committee, President’s Cabinet committees, as chairman of the Children’s Hospital Community Advisory Board, and on other UTMB committees as well.
A graduate of Leadership Galveston, I have also served on the boards of the Galveston Chamber of Commerce, the Galveston Economic Development Partnership, the Galveston Arts Center, and the Rotary Club of Galveston, among others, and on the advisory boards of the Ronald McDonald House, the Grand 1894 Opera House, and the Junior League of Galveston County.
With my combination of work and community experience, I am your source for Galveston area real estate - from residential to commercial, from historic to resort.
